- What you can do if you have had an accident at work or have an injury you believe was caused by your work
- What steps do you need to take to start a claim
- What the steps are for the claims process
- How the services at Northwest Return to Work can be tailored specifically to your treatment (one place for comprehensive treatment)
On site staff members and specialists will be available to answer your questions about the claims process, physical and occupational therapy, chiropractic, and other treatments options such as pain management and brain injury – We have also invited a personal injury attorney who will address the legal side of the process.
We will answer your questions, help you understand your rights, and show you how to access your benefits so you can receive the medical attention, therapy, and treatments needed to – get you back to work as quickly as possible.

This informative event will provide you with the information regarding your Worker’s Compensation Rights in the state of Washington. For example, Did You Know?
- Your first visit to a doctor for a specific workplace injury is covered, even if your claim is not approved.
- You have the right to apply to reopen a claim? If objective medical evidence shows the condition caused by your injury or disease has worsened and requires additional health-care attention, your claim may be reopened.
- You have a right to privacy as a patient? Employers are not allowed to share information regarding your physical or mental health to unauthorized parties.
- You have the right to decline to have the company nurse or any employer representative accompany you to the hospital, doctor, or any other medical visit.
- You have the right to choose your doctor and to decide who, if anyone, you want to accompany you to the doctor.
- You may be eligible for a variety of benefits, including medical care, if it’s directly related to your injury.
- If your workers’ compensation claim is approved, L&I or your self-insured employer will cover medical bills directly related to your injury until your doctor certifies your injury has stabilized and reached a point where further recovery isn’t expected.
